The first of the Central North Island Regional Competitions is being held at The Wall, Rotorua this Sunday 28 February.
Open to All grades from Youth D (Under 12) to Open and Masters. Come along and have a go.
Registration 8:30am - 9:00am
Climbing Starts 9:15am.
The 2010 IFSC World Youth Championships will be held in Edinburgh, Scotland in September 2010.
The selection process for the NZ team to attend this event has been finalised by the Climbing New Zealand executive commitee and details are attached.
Initially, climbers wishing to be considered must express their interest. This can be done online from 1st March 2010.
The Climbing gyms in the Central North Island are holding a series of regional competitions over the February, March & April.
The regional competitions are about fun and participation rather than results, so come along and have a go. Dates for the events are as follows:
Sunday 28 February - The Wall, Rotorua
Sunday 14 March - The Rockhouse, Mount Maunganui
Sunday 28 March - Vertical Assault, Turangi
Saturday 24 April - Extreme Edge, Hamilton
Saturday 8 May - Taupo Event Centre, Taupo

The 2010 Climbing NZ National Competitions have been confirmed. Details are shown below:
2010 National Cup Series
Round 1: 10th/11th April - The Roxx, Christchurch *
Round 2: 22nd/23rd May - The Wall, Rotorua
Round 3: 3rd/4th July - Hangdog, Lower Hutt
Round 4: 14th/15th August - The Rockhouse, Mt Maunganui
* A trial for climbers who have met the qualifying criteria, and wish to be considered, for the New Zealand Team to travel to the 2010 World Youth Championship will be held in Christchurch in conjunction with Round 1. The trial will take place immediately after the competition and the following day, Monday 12th April. Further details will be posted shortly.
2010 Oceania/National Championships
The 2010 Oceania Championships will be held, in conjunction with the NZ National Championships, at Extreme Edge in Panmure, Auckland on 1st, 2nd & 3rd October 2010.
Sportclimbing Australia have provided the attached information pack and Entry Form for climbers travelling to the Oceania Championships.

All New Zealand competitors can register online for the event up to and including 27 SEPTEMBER. You can also pay for the international licence online. Every NZ competitor in Open, Junior, Youth A & Youth B must have an international licence, if they do not already have one).
The international licence form is attached. This should be completed in full and taken to the event, along with the entry form.

Ninety-six athletes are competing for the third lead World Cup of 2009 in Imst Austria. We look forward to a great competition. The qualification round starts at 1100 (GMT+1).
